Rohaiza binti Abd. Rokis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak Campus.
She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom; an M.Sc. in Applied Social Research from the University of Stirling, Scotland; and a Bachelor of Human Sciences in Sociology and Anthropology from IIUM. Her academic specialisation is in the sociology of work, with additional research interests in women and employment, gender studies, and research methodologies.
She is an active researcher and author, with numerous publications in ISI- and Scopus-indexed journals such as the Asian Journal of Women Studies and Asian Social Science. She serves on the editorial and advisory boards of several academic journals, including the IIUM Journal of Religion and Civilisational Studies and the IIUM Journal of Human Sciences.
At IIUM she teaches courses such as Work and Organisation, Women and Society, Research Methodology, and Sociology of Work, and has held leadership roles within her faculty, including serving as Head of Department.
